Sir SAFETY Perugia from Italy arrives as the defending champion and simultaneously the CEV Champions League winner. Sada Cruzeiro from Brazil carries five titles at this tournament. Al Ahly represents African volleyball, while Foolad Sirjan Iranian comes from Iran. Jakarta Bhayangkara Presisi becomes the first Indonesian men's club to appear at this arena. Ziraat Bankasi from Turkey is also a newcomer. Vôlei Renata (Brazil) and an additional wildcard (expected to be announced later) complete the picture of 8 teams. Foolad Sirjan Iranian comes from the most rapidly developing volleyball nation in Asia regarding player exports.
